Is there anything better than the unexpected package? Full of quirky writing prompts, this journal by Brandon T. Snider was sent to me as a cheer-up package from home. Certain people (hi, Dad) know me too well; the idea is that it’ll give you, the writer, ideas on days when the words just do not flow naturally. While today was not such a day for me (I saw a philosophical French film and was going to write about it), I was too overcome by the unexpected mail delivery and the weirdness of the writing prompts inside the book to not start writing right away. This is, after all, the kind of thing I would love to do when I was younger. I found a page suggesting I write about weird possessions; I have plenty.
